Citizens residing in Ambedkarnagar's Market Yard area have expressed their frustration over the persistent issue of receiving muddy water in their supply lines for several days. In response to the poor water quality problem, they have sought the intervention of the civic administration to urgently implement permanent solutions. Activist Santosh Nangare highlighted that leakages in drainage and water supply lines have exacerbated the situation, causing contaminated water to mix with potable water. The residents are demanding the replacement of these lines, thorough network inspection, and prompt action to ensure a clean and reliable water supply, emphasizing the importance of safeguarding public health.
In response to these concerns, the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has acknowledged the issue and is in the process of devising a plan to lay new water supply lines and repair existing joints to eliminate leakages. Officials have assured the citizens that corrective measures will be taken swiftly to resolve the ongoing problem and ensure a safe and dependable water infrastructure in the area.
