During the period of August 12 to 15, a segment of the road between Hotel Green Park and Hotel Mahabaleshwar will be inaccessible to traffic due to the launch of a portal beam as part of the ongoing Metro project on Baner Road, as per an official notification by Pune's traffic police. Those coming from Hotel Green Park are directed to take a left turn towards Someshwarwadi, utilising the road parallel to Ramnadi to access the link road by the new passport office, thereby connecting to Baner Road at Veritas Chowk. Meanwhile, traffic originating from Savitribai Phule Pune University via Abhimanshree Road should turn right towards ITI road, progressing through Parihar Chowk and Ambedkar Chowk to reach Hotel Mahabaleshwar through Nagras Road. Notably, the road closure impacts solely the route from University Chowk to Balewadi, while those coming from Balewadi can continue on the open portion of Baner Road towards the city. Concerns regarding the narrow roads near Ramnadi in Someshwarwadi have been raised by residents, to which the Chaturshringi traffic police suggest using Pashan Road and making a right turn at Balaji Chowk towards the Baner Pashan Link road to alleviate congestion on the narrow stretch.
