Commuters using Pune Metro services are facing difficulties in locating exit points at stations due to a lack of proper direction boards. Passengers traveling through key stations like Kasba Peth, Shivaji Nagar, and Vanaz have reported confusion, especially first-time users, who often exit farther from their desired locations. Regular travelers emphasized the growing footfall, currently at 1.5 lakh daily, and the need for commuter-friendly measures like clear signboards to streamline navigation and avoid chaos at the 30 operational stations.
Maha Metro officials acknowledged the feedback and have begun installing direction boards at key stations like Civil Court interchange, with plans to expand the initiative to other locations. They also announced efforts to add more entry-exit points at major stations for quicker movement. Commuters have additionally called for an increase in benches at Metro stations to enhance overall convenience.
