Over One Lakh Applications for Land Record Changes via Online Platform in a Year

The State Settlement Commissioner's Office has achieved remarkable success with its newly introduced online application system for changes in mutation or 7/12 extracts. Within just a year of its launch, the system has received an overwhelming response, attracting over one lakh (100,000) applications from citizens seeking alterations in their land records. This innovative approach not only streamlines the application process but also emphasises transparency and accountability. The office has introduced a comprehensive dashboard that provides real-time updates on application statuses, reflecting the number of applications received, pending, cleared, and even those returned due to discrepancies. This data-driven system aims to curb middlemen intervention and enhance efficiency by holding officials responsible for processing applications promptly.

The digital transformation has proven beneficial for citizens, enabling them to apply for mutation or 7/12 extract changes from any corner of the state without the need to physically visit a revenue department office. The State Settlement Commissioner's Office has developed a dedicated software, facilitating user-friendly applications through the public data entry portal. While the system shows immense potential, efforts are needed to boost public awareness about this convenient online option.
