Deputy Chief Minister unveiled projects worth Rs 1,689 crore in Pimpri Chinchwad, including two bridges on the Mula River connecting Bopkhel to Khadki and Sangvi to Bopodi, as well as laying the foundation for Mula River rejuvenation and road development in areas like Punawale, Tathawade, and Wakad. He also inaugurated the Integrated Command Control Centre, featuring over 3,000 CCTV cameras for traffic management and waste monitoring. The Bopkhel bridge, a long-delayed project, will now cut a 16km detour to just 2.9km, benefiting over 20,000 residents.
Additionally, the Deputy CM distributed possession letters under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and highlighted Pimpri Chinchwad's role as a growth engine of Maharashtra, comparing it to Mumbai for its job opportunities. He assured the public that the state's economy is in good condition and all government schemes will continue, despite opposition criticism over the state's fiscal health.
