PMC Approved Bus Bay on Nagar Road
The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has given approval for the construction of Bus Parking Bay in the 800 meter stretch from Gunjan Talkies to Shastri Nagar on Nagar Road. Bus Bay means a bus stand where there is designated parking for buses on the roadside. Buses are parked here when they are not scheduled for public transport services.
The purpose of making Bus Parking Bay is to improve Traffic Management, Road Management and Hazardous Parking on Nagar Road. It is believed that this bus bay will be ready in 2 months.
20 large buses can be parked in this bay. PMPML and State Transport Buses will be given priority for bus parking.
Apart from bus parking, there will also be facilities of Toilets, Howkars Zone and Autorickshaw Stand.
PMC has started removing encroachments in this area to build this bus bay.
