The project aims to relieve local commuters from the congestion of the bypass by providing well-developed 12-metre-wide service road stretches on both sides of the bypass. The escalating traffic on the bypass due to residential growth along its route has prompted this move. PMC's emphasis is on developing service roads in areas where it possesses land, with priority given to stretches near Baner and Navale Bridge. Though challenges such as encroachments persist, the civic administration is committed to enhancing the road network's safety and convenience for residents.
