The PMC recently approved the proposed bridge from Sun City Road to Karve Nagar. The new proposed bridge over the Mutha river will make the traveling of commuters convenient. The 30m bridge will run parallel to Rajaram Bridge. The civic body has appointed a Mumbai-based contractor to construct the bridge within 2 years of the timeframe.
A PMC officer said, “PMC has approved the bridge and the work order has been issued to the contractor. With the construction of the new bridge, residents at Sinhagad Road will be relieved from traffic congestion. The residents will be able to travel directly to Deccan, thus avoiding traffic on Sinhagad Road.” This bridge will also connect to the Kothrud area, which will in turn escalate property prices.
