A day after the Deputy Chief Minister's journey on the Pune Metro between Ruby Hall Clinic and Vanaz Metro Stations, Metro officials have revealed plans to adjust the metro's operational schedule, aiming to commence train services at 6 am instead of the current 7 am start time. The Deputy Chief Minister's early morning commute provided insight into the demand for an earlier service, as he engaged with fellow passengers and expressed the commuters' need to initiate operations sooner to reach their destinations punctually. This development comes after Metro officials acknowledged the mounting demand for a 6 am start and assured that efforts are underway to implement this change, supported by a prior study conducted by the Pune Metro. Currently operating from 7 am to 10 pm, the proposed shift aims to cater to the needs of office-goers who must catch express trains and students with early college schedules. Additionally, the recent expansion of the Metro's routes, connecting Pimpri Chinchwad to Civil Court and Ruby Hall Clinic to Vanaz via Civil Court Metro Station, has garnered positive passenger response, indicating a growing engagement with the extended network.
