Pune Municipal Corporation Conducts Anti-Encroachment Drive on Ahmednagar Road
On Monday, an anti-encroachment operation was carried out by the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) between Sadalbaba Road and Kharadi Bypass on Ahmednagar Road. The drive, led by officials from PMC, aimed to clear encroachments along this busy stretch, which is a crucial road connecting to Pune airport. During the operation, various structures, including stalls, carts, slums, sheds, and banners, were removed, resulting in the reclamation of approximately 30,000 square feet of land from illegal encroachments.
The PMC's efforts to keep important roads free from encroachments involved the deployment of significant manpower and resources, with a considerable workforce, heavy machinery, gas cutters, and trucks used in the operation. Additionally, police personnel were present to ensure the campaign's smooth execution, highlighting the PMC's commitment to maintaining clear and unobstructed roadways for the city's residents and commuters.
