Pune Residents Frustrated by Lack of Footpaths Citywide

While some suggest accommodating both pedestrians and hawkers on footpaths, others highlight the issue of motorcyclists invading footpaths during peak hours, often without consequences from traffic authorities. Despite the legal mandate for well-maintained roads and footpaths, implementation remains inadequate, with urban planning often prioritising vehicular traffic over pedestrian needs.
