Authorities have reported a 5-6 minute reduction in travel time between Swargate and Manjari, thanks to road resurfacing and infrastructure improvements along the Pune-Solapur highway. The improvements include enhanced road capacity, traffic management at Fatima Nagar junction, and the widening of critical sections such as Golibar Maidan Chowk. Steps like shifting private bus stops, relocating road dividers, and installing heavy-duty slabs over subways have significantly eased congestion, particularly at busy junctions like Bhairoba Nala and Ramtekdi.
Further measures are planned to improve mobility on other major roads, including Pashan, Baner, Airport, and North Main Road. These initiatives aim to address potholes, align drainage covers, remove unscientific speed breakers, and ensure better footpaths and zebra crossings. Civic and police authorities have emphasized their commitment to improving traffic flow across Pune's road network.
