Undri Residents Struggle with Health Issues Due to Lack of PMC Water Supply

19 Feb 2024

Undri residents solely rely on private tankers as the Pune Municipal Corporation fails to provide water, leading to health issues like digestive problems, hairfall, and skin allergies.

Residents of Undri in Pune are facing severe water scarcity issues, with not a single society receiving water from the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) since its merger in 2017. This has forced residents to rely entirely on private tankers for their drinking and domestic water needs, leading to significant financial strain on the community.

Frustrated by the lack of action from authorities, residents are considering drastic measures such as boycotting elections and withholding water tax payments until their concerns are addressed. The situation has sparked unrest among residents, who are demanding immediate action from the PMC to ensure access to clean and reliable water sources.
