Vehicular Access Restored Bopodi to Samvidhan Chowk Road Reopens Today
The traffic department has reopened the stretch of road between Bopodi and Samvidhan Chowk, which had been closed due to ongoing Metro construction. This closure had forced vehicles to take a detour of around 4 to 5 kilometres, adding considerable travel time to their journeys. As this road serves as a crucial connection between Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad on the Pune-Mumbai highway, it was notorious for experiencing heavy traffic jams during peak hours. With the reopening of this key route, commuters can once again take a direct path to their destinations, alleviating the congestion issues that had plagued this area.
The Pune Metro project, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on August 1, had necessitated traffic diversions in several parts of the city. However, as the Metro work has now been completed, these roads have been reopened for vehicular movement, providing much-needed relief to citizens and reducing traffic-related inconveniences across various stretches of the city.
