03 Dec 2024

The groundwork for the Pune Ring Road project, aimed at improving connectivity and reducing traffic congestion, has commenced with the Eastern Phase spanning 24.5 km between Pune Nagar Road and Solapur Highway. Awarded to Roadway Solution India Infra Ltd., the project operations have started at Wadebolai village near Kesnand, marked by a traditional pooja attended by local leaders and villagers. Over 100 excavators and heavy machinery have been deployed, with the construction set to gain momentum after the official groundbreaking ceremony, scheduled for post-December 5, 2024. The Managing Director of Roadway Solution emphasized their commitment to completing the project on time with the highest quality standards.

The Pune Ring Road, a ₹42,000-crore project spanning 170 km, is divided into four phases and is expected to transform Pune’s infrastructure by easing traffic, improving connectivity to peripheral areas, and boosting economic growth. The Eastern Phase is a significant step toward modernizing the city’s urban landscape, with villagers from Wadebolai expressing enthusiasm for the development. Once completed, the project will not only alleviate congestion but also play a crucial role in the city’s sustainable infrastructure development.
