In a significant infrastructural development, the Pune Ring Road project, spanning 136 KM, is progressing rapidly with 80% land acquisition completed, and the remaining land expected to be complete February 2024.Under the EPC model The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) has recently invited bids for the project. Meanwhile, the real estate landscape in Pune witnessed a substantial surge, marked by a 12% increase in property registrations in 2023 compared to the previous year, contributing to the Maharashtra government's substantial stamp duty earnings amounting to more than 5300 crore. However, the real estate sector also saw 22 de-registrations in Maharashtra under the Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA) projects. On the urban transit front, the eagerly anticipated Ruby Hall to Ramwadi Metro is undergoing its final inspection and is expected to be operational by the end of January. Simultaneously, plans for the Pune-Mumbai Expressway road widening project are underway, aiming to convert the existing 6-lane road into an 8-lane thoroughfare, requiring 100 hectares of land and a budget of 5000 crores.
